I'm MelissaMann, and I'm so thrilled to share the story behind my passion project with you. While this endeavor is about creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind jewelry, it's also deeply rooted in love, legacy, and the enduring inspiration of my incredible mother, Emily Mable North.

On July 29, 2021, the world lost a truly radiant soul whenmy mother, Emily Mable North, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 in Federal Way, WA. My mom was a woman of incredible resilience and strength, overcoming countless challenges throughout her life. She had a heart of gold and a dedicated passion for working with children, spending most of her life uplifting and encouraging students in the Montessori and Ada S. McKinley school systems.

She had an infectious smile that captivated everyone she met, and her vibrant energy and warm spirit melted the hearts of many. She truly made this world a better place, serving as a lighthouse to those caught in a storm, and was tough when needed, always uplifting herself and others who had been harmed.

My mother's unwavering spirit and boundless love are the driving force behind Unique As You Are Jewelry. As a teacher, I've dedicated over 20 years of my life to improving the lives of children, just as my mother did. In every moment outside of the classroom, I pour my heart and soul into creating each piece of jewelry you see here. Every design is crafted with love, time, and immense passion, with the intention that it will be uniquely yours, just like each of us is unique.

This company is more than just a business; it's a living tribute to my mother's memory and an embodiment of her beautiful spirit. It's about taking the dreams she inspired in me and bringing them to life, one unique piece at a time.
